Will I watch it again? Yeah.

I recently watched the TV show TRAILER PARK BOYS  from start to finish in less than a month.  I LOVE THIS SHOW!  It's hilarious.  I wanted more and there is...plenty.  This is the pilot movie that got the show made.  It's tough watching it in that all I know is the show which is different and a whole lot funnier but it's neat seeing the origins of the characters you love before they found their place.  I loved that Ricky & Julian were hired pet assassins.  The gun play in this flick is hilarious.  I love how they go for their guns the instant something happens that they don't like or understand.  The scene where some guys offscreen call Ricky "Ravine" and Julian "Patrick Swayze", as if they're horrible names to call someone is priceless to watch the two get pissed off.  There are a few key characters in the show that haven't made it yet and it feels like a void.  Bubbles wasn't there (but Mike Smith was in a small role as a sound man), Randy isn't either but Patrick Roach has a sizable role as an adversary to Ricky and Julian.   The biggest character absent is Jim Lahey (John Dunsworth).  It felt really strange not seeing him pop up. The film is a little rough around the edges but then they were creating something new and different.  This style of film making was made famous two weeks later with THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT (1999).  If you haven't seen the show, I strongly urge you to check it out.  It's infectious. Now that I'm done with this, there are a couple of specials and two theatrical movies to plow through.  Can't wait.
