My rating: 3/10

Will I watch it again?  No.

Ugh.  What a chore to get through.  I can't stand cartoon-y Southern stereotypes.  It's painful to watch and hear the accents and cliches.  This movie gets so much wrong.  For a remake of the better TWO THOUSAND MANIACS (1964), it's the pits.  It keeps the over-the-top yokels and tries to make it a modern horror film but the problem is...it keeps the over-the-top yokel Southern freak redneck cliches.  There's a little bit of nudity and some gore but there's not much attempt to make it special or even that much different.  So why make it?  If you have problems watching Troma films like me, you're going to have the same issues with this picture.  Watch the first one instead and maybe fast forward through the slow bits.  The Lionsgate DVD has a few extras with trailers, a 42-minute making of featurette, deleted/extended scenes and outtakes, an alternate ending and an audition reel.  I'm not even going to bother watching them. I feel insulted.
