My rating: 8/10

Will I watch it again?  Yes.

After seeing the trailer for the sequel so many times I finally got around to catching the first one and I loved it.  It's so much fun and 'fun' is the key word here.  They're taking the Bond thing to the next level.  The film takes lots of jabs at the Bond tropes, some while naming Bond in the process.  But being the lifelong Bond fan since the 70s that I am, there are many subtle references that ticked the piss out of me.  The cast is fantastic.  The movie has a playfulness to it that feels most refreshing.  The one thing I kept thinking about while watching it was how amazing it would be if this team of filmmakers would make one of these set in in the 60s.  I would drop my pants to see that.  The action scenes are very well done.  A couple of them had me on the edge of the seat and my heart rate increased by a few notches.  The Blu-ray looks superb, too.  I haven't delved into the extras (if there are any - I didn't even check) but I will and now I'm really looking forward to the sequel coming out September 22.
